Gold Thread Video Productions, based in Myrtle Beach, SC distributes the documentary "In Another Life," which aired on KBDI Denver in 2003. It is sold to universities in the U.S. and Canada through Films Media Group, and to the rest of the world, directly. Gold Thread Video was a home-based video production business from its inception in 1997, to 2007. I personally produced everything you see in the sample page, usually on a low budget with a crew of one or two. I have a strong photographic eye and esthetic sensibility. Given a proper budget and a little training on high-end equipment, which I could never afford to own, I could do outstanding work. Even on a shoestring budget I was able to do some work I'm proud of, especially the video used to introduce visitors to the Meher Spiritual Center (unfortunately, I cannot show that video as a sample). Since the business unofficially closed at the start of the recession (which came early for me, at the beginning of 2007), I have developed expertise in restoring old videos. I am available for this kind of work, as well as for archiving old audio and video formats. I also have skills in writing, editing and proofreading. I am particular about what kind of project I would lend my assistance to. It must be inspiring and helpful. I won't work on anything that is degrading or debasing in tone. But I could be a real asset to the right project.
